Acetic Acid Glacial 99.8% HPLC Grade Reagent
Cas Number:64-19-7
Formula:C2H4O2
Molar Mass:60.05
EC Number:200-580-7
Physicochemical properties:
Colorless transparent liquid. Irritating odor. Sour. It is irritating to the skin and blisters. Its vapor is toxic and easy to catch fire. It is miscible with water, ethanol, ether, carbon tetrachloride and glycerin, and is almost insoluble in carbon disulfide. The volume is reduced when solidified. Relative density (d2525) 1.049. Freezing point 16.7 ° C. The boiling point is 118 °C. Refractive index (n20D) 1.3718. Flash point (closed cup) 39 ° C. The self-ignition point is 427 °C.
Usage:
Common analytical reagents are widely used for neutralization or acidification. Non-aqueous solvent. Prepare a buffer solution. Organic Synthesis. Production of pigments, drugs, acetate fibers, acetyl compounds, and so on. A good solvent for many organics. Also used to dissolve phosphorus, sulfur, hydrohalic acid, and so on.
