Physicochemical properties:
Light yellow transparent oily liquid. It is a natural resin which can be dissolved in xylene to be the 60% solution. Neutral reaction. It is insoluble in water. The refractive index is similar to that of glass. After drying, it condenses into a clear, colorless solid with no shrinkage, yellowing, and cracking. The adhesion to the glass is strong, and it is difficult to separate the two pieces of glass after they are completely dried.The refractive index is 1.577.
Usage:
Microscopic sectioning of permanent specimens or sealants for animal and plant production. Optical glass lens and spectacle lens.
