1-Butanol 99.5% AR Reagent
Cas Number:71-36-3
Formula:C4H10O
Molar Mass:74.12
EC Number:200-751-6
Physicochemical properties:
Colorless transparent liquid with slight fusel oil odour and strong refraction. There is a very bright flame when burning. It is miscible in ethanol, ether, benzene and many organic solvents. It is soluble in water (solubility at 9.1ml/100ml at 25°C). It can form an azeotrope with water (37% water) with a boiling point of 92 °C. The relative density (d204) is 0.810. The melting point is -90 ° C. The boiling point is 117 ~ 118 ° C. The refractive index (n20D) is 1.3993.
Usage:
As a solvent for separating potassium perchlorate and sodium perchlorate, sodium chloride and lithium chloride can also be separated. It is used to wash the precipitation of sodium uranyl zinc acetate. In the colorimetric assay, the arsenic acid is determined by the molybdate method. Determine the fat in the milk. A medium for saponifying esters. Paraffin-embedded materials are prepared during microscopic analysis. And it is used as fat, wax, resin, shellac, tree.
