Cyclohexylamine 98.5% CP Grade Reagent
Cas Number:108-91-8
Formula:C6H13N
Molar Mass:99.17
EC Number:203-629-0
Physicochemical properties:
Colorless liquid. There is a strong fish stench. Strongly alkaline. When distilled together with water, it forms an
azeotrope with water having a boiling point of 96.4 ° C and contains 44.2% of cyclohexylamine. It is co-heated with an excess of ammonia and zinc chloride at 350 ° C to form 2-methylpyridine. It is miscible with water and general organic solvents, including alcohols, esters, ketones, ethers, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and their chlorine-containing compounds. The relative density (d2525) is 0.8647.
Usage:
Acid gas absorbent. Organic Synthesis.
