Physicochemical properties:

Light blue-green crystal or powder. Sensitive to light. It gradually weathers and oxidizes in the air. Soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol. The relative density (d204) is 1.86. Low toxicity, half lethal dose (rat, oral) 3250mg/kg. Irritating.

Usage:

It is used to calibrate potassium permanganate solution. Formulate a ferrous ion standard solution and also used as a polymerization catalyst.
