Physicochemical properties:
Blue-green monoclinic crystals or granules. Odorless. Weathered in dry air. The surface is oxidized to a brown basic ferric sulfate in humid air. It becomes the tetrahydrate at 56.6 ° C and becomes a monohydrate at 65 ° C. It is soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution slowly oxidizes in the air when it is cold, and oxidizes faster when it is hot. The addition of alkali or dew can accelerate its oxidation. The relative density (d15) is 1.897.
