Physicochemical properties:
White microcrystalline powder. It is the quaternary ammonium salt and hygroscopic which cab stable in acidic solutions. It can dissolved in 10 parts of water, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, almost insoluble in ether and benzene. The melting point is 237 ~ 243 ° C. Half of the filter (rat, vein)is 44 mg/kg. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.
Usage:
Colorimetric or photometric determination of bismuth and tin. Intestinal glucose absorption inhibitor. A phase transfer catalyst for the reduction of aromatics and epoxidation of olefins. Surfactant. Fungicide. Disinfectant.
