Trichloroethylene 99% AR Grade Reagent
Cas Number:79-01-6
Formula: C2HCl3
Molar Mass:131.39
EC Number:201-167-4
Physicochemical properties:
Colorless liquid. There is a special odor of chloroform. Low viscosity. Not flammable. It can be slowly decomposed by light to form hydrochloric acid. It is miscible with ethanol, ether and chloroform. It is soluble in most oils and almost insoluble in water. Medicinal often added thymol or ammonium carbonate as a stabilizer (not more than 20mg / 100ml), industrial use often added triethanolamine, stearate or cresol as a stabilizer, also added 1% ethanol as an antioxidant.
Usage:
Excellent non-flammable solvent. Determine the iodine value. Organic Synthesis. Metal degreasing. Extraction of fat, oil and paraffin. Dry cleaning of wool and fabrics, etc.
