Physicochemical properties:
Brownish black powder. It can be dissolved in hot water, cooled to a reddish brown solution, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. In the case of excessive hydrochloric acid, it forms a brown-purple precipitate, and when it is dark blue with sodium hydroxide, it turns red. It is dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid to form a blue-black solution, which is diluted to form a brown precipitate. It will turn into the orange solution when concentrates nitric acid .
Usage:
An indicator for measuring water hardness. Complex indicator. Determination of calcium, magnesium, barium, indium, manganese, lead, bismuth, antimony, zinc and zirconium.
