Thymol Blue IND Grade Reagent
Brownish green crystalline powder with bad smell. It is soluble in ethanol, yellow, dilute alkali, and insoluble in water. The melting point is 221 ~ 224 ° C (decomposition). The maximum absorption wavelength is 594 (376) nm. The ammonium salt is soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is light brownish yellow, which is called water-soluble thymol blue. Its sodium salt is brown powder and soluble in water.
Acid-base indicator, the pH is 1.2 (red) ~ 2.8 (yellow), 8.0 (yellow) ~ 9.6 (blue).
