Murexide IND Grade Reagent
Red-purple crystalline powder with a green metallic luster. It can form complexes of various colors with many cations. It is soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water, and almost insoluble in ethanol and ether. The aqueous solution is dark purple and varies with pH, dark blue in alkaline solution and colorless in acidic solution. The aqueous solution is highly susceptible to deterioration. The melting point is > 300 ° C. The maximum absorption wavelength (in water) is 520 nm.
Complex indicator (for titration of calcium, copper, cobalt, nickel, manganese, antimony, zinc, etc.). Photometric determination of calcium.
Not a hazardous substance or mixture.
