Methylene Blue IND Grade Reagent
Cas Number:7220-79-3
Formula: C16H18ClN3S·3H2O
Molar Mass:373.9
EC Number:200-515-2
Properties:
Bright green crystal or fine dark brown powder with a bronze luster. Odorless. Stable in the air. 1g can be dissolved in about 25 ml of water, about 65 ml of ethanol, the solution is sky blue, it is soluble in chloroform, insoluble in ether and benzene. The aqueous solution can be discolored by zinc powder and dilute sulfuric acid, but it can be recovered by exposure to air. If ammonia is added, it will recover faster. It can form double salts with most inorganic salts. The maximum absorption wavelength is 668 and 609 nm.
Usage:
Bacterial stains. The serum protein biochemical test is accompanied by a mixed indicator. Prepare exfoliated cells to test staining solution. Preparation of alkaline methylene blue staining solution. Redox indicator. Determination of mercury and tin. A titrant is reduced to precipitate perchlorate and citrate. Catalytic photometric determination of selenium and molybdenum.
Packing:
500g/25kg
